I got 2 questions for anyone that cares to dare an answer.

    1. On Sprint, when checking voicemail, does that count as a PCS2PCS
    call?

    2. How soon will i be able to take my AT&T number over to Sprint. Are
they all going to make us wait till the deadline? Or will portability
be available sooner. In addition will i be able to take an existing
AT&T numebr, cancel the account and take the number over to SPCS and
apply it to an existing account (IE change my current SPCS number to
    my current ATT number)?

    Thanks,
    Dan

    No it does not.

<<2. How soon will i be able to take my AT&T number over to Sprint. Are

Of course, they will make us wait until the deadline in all probability.

I don't know if anyone would know the answer to this question or not,
but I would guess no. Best bet would be to wait until number
portability is available before signing with Sprint. Changing your
phone number now on a current account causes many problems on its own,
so I would hate to think of what it would be like trying to assign a
specific number to an existing PCS account.

You can probably do it. Just like changing numbers, but I have to see
how the whole number transfer process is. You might be able to add a
phone with the ATT number and cancel the other. I'm not sure about this.

Re: M2M Minutes and Number Portability Questions

I got a second sprint line early in the year, wanted to keep an old
existing plan with published number and 8pm nights which was hard to get
earlier in year, to keep the 8pm number wanted to SWITCH THE NUMBERS
between the two lines, both in my name, etc, etc---never got it done,
arguments, frustrations, threats--all to no avail, finally just let me
add options to the old line, which did the same thing--but had a
supervisor not suggested the option change, don't think the number
    change was going to happen/

And the call to voicemail is a regular call, is that right, I don;t have
    the M2M thing?

Calls to VM are charged as a normal call. N&W minutes can be used for VM.

And one can call for VoiceMail from a landline?

No, it doesn't. You're not connecting to another PCS phone, hence, no
    PCS2PCS.

Sprint PCS is ready for WLNP now. AT&T however, may not be. Even if
they are ready, it's unlikely that they will WANT to start cooperating
with each other until the deadline.

Probably not. You will most likely have to cancel that existing Sprint
account, and set up a new one using the WLNP to get the AT&T number.

Yes, you can. You dial your PCS phone, let it ring, and voicemail will
answer. Hit * and then your password, and you're in.
