Thanks for the heads up Larry. How do you get your info so fast? :-)
You are always right on top of things.

Man, I sure hope that this makes Alltel SID 244 (the CDMA conversion SID
in the CenturyTel/Michigan region) preferred over Alltel SID 386, the
    analog one!

I always keep a watch for these things. The update is supposedly related
to the Sprint Qwest deal and adds coverage in the Northwest and Wyoming.

Sorry but I don't think it has anything to do with that this time.

    Question:

Does the same PRL (update) apply to *all* phones,
    or just specific models?

    Thanks!

How do you update the PRL over the phone? Do you say "PRL update" to
    Claire?

All phones. I just tried *2 and it didn't update. Spoke immediately to CS,
once I told Claire "PRL update" , and they flagged all three phones on our
    account.

Thanks. I just did the same with our phones.

    Larry

Oh, and Phillipe, if you're listening... Less than 30 seconds of wait
time, and a friendly, helpful CS Rep.

Just a clarification, not *all* the phones, but all the current phones
    do.

I am 99% sure all the phones SPrint has carried over the past 2 1/2
years take the 10020. Check your current version first, if you have a
11X, 12X, 22X, or 23X version, then you do not.

Had a real easy time on updating my wife's Sanyo 4700 to PRL 10020.
I call *2, and said I'd like to update the PRL in my wife's phone like I
just did for my phone. She asked the phone #, then the PIN, and said she
annotated my account, and call *2 again any time after 15 minutes. I
helped her 5minute quota as it was 1Min 20 seconds for whole call.

I called in with my wife's phone and her 10012 PRL was updated to 10020.
Wish all my calls to Sprint would go this flawlessly.

Glad to hear that *something* went well with you and Sprint!

Maybe this is some type of turning point.
