Help How to make an Internet Connection ?

I have a A500 and was told that I have unlimited time to use it as a
wireless modem for my laptop. Is this true? If so, how do I go about
setting it up and what will I need?

If you're using windows, just create a connectoid.
User name is your Vision login name and enter your Vision password.
Set the number to dail as #777, thats four characters there.

The FutureDial SnapDialer was slow and buggy on my laptop.

Unlimited Vision plan customers should not use phone as a modem
As stated in the Service Plans Guide under PCS Free & Clear with Vision,
these plans are not available with PCS Connection Cards, PCS Connections
Kits or other devices that can be used as a modem.
Type: General Information

Customers, on an unlimited Vision plan, are not allowed to use their phone
as a modem.

who told you this? someone from the net? you need to read your contract
that you agreed to when you got the phone and you'll see whether or not you
have unlimited time to use it as a modem for your laptop.

I don't think the contract will specifically state unlimted Vision,
much less anything about the current TOS about not connecting your
phone to a computer, but the contract form might have changed in
the last six months. So reading your contract may not tell you
anything.

You'll have to rely on the published TOS which currently says quite
plainly you can't do that without incurring a per KB data charge.

Unless if you signed up prior to June or there abouts when the TOS
didn't have the computer inclusion clause, but that's another topic
aready thrashed to the bottom of the kill file.

It is not true. You can get a Connection Card, and subscribe to a
connection card plan for laptop use.
