Re: just a typical post to vent
damn dude.. it usually does take a few days after your billing cycle
ends to view your bill.. It is usually posted about 4-5 business days
from the start of the next billing cycle.

Re: just a typical post to vent
well, they shouldn't give you balance due until the invoice is ready. when
i see the amount due, i immediately want to make sure sprint isn't trying
to screw me out my money because of some billing error.

Simple solution: don't pay the bill until you can see the details, either
on paper or online. :-P

While I don't generally share your negative approach to things, I do agree
that they shouldn't show the amount due until they can show you the bill.

I wouldn't call it a negative approach, you don't have to pay the
invoice the day it comes out. The do give you 30 days I believe.

Too bad SprintPCS has such an inferior web site. When I use Citibank
or Household Bank, they show me "Unbilled items" itemized and a total
of outstanding balance on a daily basis, updated EVERY DAY. None of this
waiting till 5 days after Invoice date, which is inexcusible with what
computers can do these days.

The negative approach is "i immediately want to make sure sprint isn't
trying
to screw me out my money because of some billing error.".
So, I would call it a negative approach. The smiley just softens it

I would consider it prudent, not negative. I mean, no one's going to check
their bill to see if Sprint gave them any unexpected discounts.

Amazing, we hear of a few (many?) SprintPCS billing snafus. Have we ever
heard of one that favored the customer? And retail customers have 25
days (not 30) from date of Invoice to pay it, which means ~20 days from
time its on web, or about 18 days or less from time you receive it by
Postal Service, which is still reasonable, but 18 is not 30.

That's comparing apples to oranges, actually. What you're looking at on
Citibank are actual cash transactions that have been confirmed in some
way or another. With Sprint or any other telecomm company, you can't
really get that, regardless of "what computers can do these days."

Hey, if I can buy $30 in gas and have the transaction posted "pending" to my
account by the time I get back to the house, they can tell me what my bill
balance is. They just don't have that down yet.
It *can* be done. The last time I was able to log into Sprint and look,
which was towards the end of August, it still showed my previous balance
being due, which had cleared my account weeks earlier.
