Nov. 1st when the law starts where we can switch carriers
and keep our phone #- does anybody have any thoughts on
how Verizon, Sprint, etc. will try to keep it's customers-
(ie: more minutes, more lucrative plans, etc...))

As Phillippe has mentioned, it's Nov. 24th.
I received a call from SPCS this week, where they wanted me to re-up
on my AA (expires mid Oct), and offered me a 5% discount off of my
current plan, which runs about $135/mo. after taxes. So, I'd be seeing
about $128.50 as a monthly bill.
Just in case anyone is interested, I have 2000 AT plan for 3 phones,
with unlimited Vision, & the $10 F&CA option on the account.
I told them that I'm waiting till the new plans start showing up ...
