    I currently have a very old $30/month for 300 anytime minutes plan
    that I purchased back in 2000. I know that Sprint offers more
    expensive plans that include unlimited night/weekend minutes,
    but I would like to keep my $30/month price. Does anyone know if
    there are "unadvertised" plans for $30 that include unlimited
    night/weekend? Thanks for any help.

    Not everyone can get it, but there *is* a 300 AT min/Unlimited N&W plan for=
    $30=20
    that includes N&W hours starting at 8PM. Can't hurt to call in and ask abo=

    What Rob didn't say, or may not have known, is that this plan is a favorite of
    the Retention Department. Then they add "Bonus Minutes", extra anytime minutes
    every month. 50, 100, 150, 200 or even 300 minutes may be added, depending on
    your payment history. Length, amount, timeliness.
    PCS to PCS might also be added. Apparently they no longer will give away
    Vision.

    I don't see that plan on the site. I see the $35/300 one.

    I have the old $30/300AT/N&W(9pm) unlimited plan. My plan is up next
    month. Can I get this same plan. 8pm N&W would be nice to have also.

    I am in SE/FLA Palm Beach County.

    I have never, ever(no BS) been late on my bill since I started with
    sprint back in '98 on the month to month. My credit history is
    considered equal to retired people in there 60's and up. I'm in my low 40's.

    Thanks for any info you can give me concerning this, before I call CS to
    renew my contract.

    I have $30, but after fees and taxes it comes damn close to $40. I'm just
    waiting till the end of Nov. to keep my number and switch companies.

    You've been with us for 3+ years.

    If you've paid your bill on time each month, and don't get your phone
    exchanged often, I'd say you're in a good place to bargain with
    retention.

    Sounds like you're in one of our old "no contract' plans, no contract
    means you can leave whenever you want.

    WLNP is right around the corner, and all wireless carriers are starting
    to play hardball with trying to keep their customers. First you should
    shop around, see what the competiton is offering in your area, along
    with SprintPCS.

    When you call, sound like you're on the fence, and mention that you'll
    be able to take your number with you next month. Be calm, and work
    with the retention rep. "Hey Cingular is offering this plan, how can
    you beat it?". They *should* work with you.

    If you're willing to sign on for another year or two, you may be able
    to get yourself a good plan and possibly a credit towards a new phone.

    Good luck!

    The $30/300 min + unlimited n/w at 8 pm is NOT a retention plan per se.
    It's a new loyalty promotion that Sprint has going on if you sign on
    for an extra year. "Loyal" customers have been getting emails for
    either the $30/300 promo OR the 5% off promo. You can just call any
    regular Sprint CS rep and see if you qualify. If you do, it'll
    automatically come up on their screen.

    You won't see it on the site. It's a loyalty incentive that we're=20
    allowed to offer to certain customers when they call in to Customer=20
    Care. Based upon your description, I'd offer it to you if you got me on=20
    the line when you called in. But you *do* have to call in to get it. =20
    If you ask about it, and get a rep who cares at all, they'll let you=20
    have it for a new one-year agreement.

    Strictly FYI. Your plan doesn't end. When you reach the satisfaction=20
    date on your contract, you simply proceed month-to-month without any=20
    added charges.

    Yes, you are right, I bought a month-to-month plan back in
    2000. I've paid all my bills on time. I would indeed like
    to get a unlimited nights/weekends on top of my 300 anytime
    minutes. I'll ask them about this.

    Since I've seen them offered for customers in every type of market I can th=

    =20
    Unlimited N&W, and N&W hours start at 8PM. Each of them at the same price =

    Those taxes aren't really all that different on any of the carriers, even=
    =20
    despite the legitimate grousing about WLNP fees.

    Verizon's smallest plan is $39.99 for 400 minutes. We offer another 100 fo=
    r=20
    just $5 more.

    Cingular? They have a "Cingular Nation" plan for $35. For 200 minutes. =20
    Period. No N&W. The first to offer N&W hours is a 400 minute plan for $45=
    .. =20
    We sell our 500 minute plan for that much. For GSM, their 250 AT min plan =
    is=20
    $29.99. Save a penny, lose 50 AT minutes *and* unlimited N&W minutes.

    Maybe T-Mo? Well, they *do* have a 300 minute plan for $29.99. No, wait,=
    =20
    there's no N&W minutes included. So you spend $39.99 and get their pretty =
    nice=20
    sounding 600 min plan. And that *does* include unlimited N&W minutes. No,=
    =20
    wait, that's just *weekend* minutes. From, as their site says, 12AM Saturd=
    ay=20
    to 11:59PM Sunday. Wow, that 600 may not sound so terrific.

    With AT&T, you can pay $29.99... and lose 100 AT minutes. And so on.

    And Nextel is the most expensive of all the National carriers. I've alread=
    y=20
    been over their plans in another thread.

    Don't get me wrong. They are nice plans (well, I think T-Mo's "weekend onl=
    y"=20
    minutes option stinks, but everything else is OK). I don't think we have a=
    =20
    home run compared to them. But then, neither do they compared to us.

    I really don't see a need to go through the whole Retention scheme...if
    Puer calls in and asks for the specific plan which is 300 / Unl NW with
    8pm start time on NW... it should be available. In fact if he were to
    call in he may be offered the plan without even asking for it because
    that is an up-sell plan, not a retention plan.
