SMS service: This just says "sorry, feature not available yet". Any idea
when it will be? Why are they advertising it if it doesn't work?
It then routes me to a web page which supposedly supports "Short Mail", but in
fact, no such thing happens; the web page has four links on it which I was
unable to get to work; if I click on one of them, I get "Sending...", and then
the same page refreshes. It says:
Short Mail
1 Compose
2 Inbox
3 Add name
4 Settings
None of these links work. Where's the feature? What's up with the defective
web page?
There's at least one obvious and stupid error in the phone software; the
"Keyboard" program which tells you how to use the keyboard has a couple of
errors where it describes the (different) layout of the Treo 300 keyboard
instead of the Treo 600 keyboard.
Last, but not least: Does this device have any kind of backup software?
Can anyone recommend some? Is there user-available flash memory?

Re: Treo 600 questions
Hello,
Kevin from Handspring here. From what I have heard, the service should
be in effect sometime this month. It's up to your provider. In the
meantime, you could take a look at http://pdaapps.com/treo_600.html as
a solution.
You can also start here for your question regarding backup software:

"Sorry! This answer is either under review or it is no longer available.
Please select another."
I found a program I like so far ("BackupMan"). I just wish something had been
included in the ROM.
(Also, it seems the Treo doesn't use flash ROM. Why why why? Hasn't that
lesson been learned YET!?!?!)
