I'm changing phone numbers.

I'm thinking of sticking with Sprint while doing so, but I have a couple of questions.

1) I've had my account for 4 years. When I change my number, will Sprint still see me as a four year customer, or will I
look like a new customer when the CSR's pull up my account? Does my acct# change? What happens here? I don't want to be
pulled up as a brand new customer.

2) Can I personalize my number? I don't always like the random numbers. I want something relevant to me. Will I be able to
choose my number and find out of it is available? Do any carriers allow you to do this? It may help me make my decision.

Your account number is different than your telephone number, so yes ... SPCS
will still see you as a 4 yr. customer. No, your account number should not
change.

As to changing your phone number, you might be able to get a customized
number, if that phone number is available in the market you live in.

Are you changing phone numbers because you get too many
calls from parties that you dont want to have your phone number? If so
then Smith's replies are correct.

However if you are changing phone numbers to get promotional rebates
that new customers/new lines get, then your results will vary.

Bob's pretty much answered this. Your account number does not change, and =
your=20
account remains a 4-year-old one with us. In fact, if you're staying withi=
n=20
the same area code, then the ONLY thing that needs to change is the phone=
=20
number.

SPCS no longer allows for "vanity" numbers. According to what I've been to=
ld,=20
it got to be too difficult to provide them after the number pooling regulat=
ions=20
changed. So no more such option. I don't know if other carriers provide i=
t. =20
SPCS no longer does.
