So only dial the 7 digits. Just like any 800 / 888 'long' number -
i.e. 1-800-bestpricesonwidgets - you don't need to dial the entire
number.

Easily rectified. On your cell phone just dial the first 11 digits. In the land
line business, extra digits are ignored. On a cell phone since you are inputing
the digits and then sending them, more than the prescribed amount and you will
get an error recording as you indicate.
