Well, I've read about the theory of the "Heat Death" of the universe which
will happen in something like 10^100 years or so. That's a 1 with 100 zeros
after it. The theory goes something like this:

    -Universe continues to expand.
-Trillions of years later, all stars burn out, go supernova, or collapse
    into black holes.
-More trillions of years and the supergiant black holes eventually
collapse or cease to exist however black holes do that
-A bunch more years and every element in the universe decays into iron,
the universe now consists of a black space with cold lumps of iron floating
    around. Approaching maximum entropy.
-One month later (just joking) the iron continues to decay and eventually
all matter decays into photons and the universe is filled with lights, but
nobody is there to see it because all matter is has decayed into photons
    (remember?).
-The lights eventually fade and the universe completes its death by
dissolving into inky, spaceless, timeless, matterless, nothingness.
