Samsung SGH-U900

Can anyone help?
When my wife recieves text messages on this phone, the message shows a
small icon telling her that it has saved to the sim and not the phone.
How can she change this so it just saves to the phone and she doesn't
have to "move to phone" each time. She has been through all the
settings and can't see anything obvious to change this setting.
Any help appreciated,
