RE: Iphone Gen1 battery Life

I just upgraded to the new iphone 3g, but i still have my old iphone and the battery is dying out on me. Is this normal? I'm keeping the 3g, but i want to give the old iphone to my son to replace it old motorola RZR. what can i do about the battery life if anything. I just bought a car charger for the iphone for him from Save on all Apple iPhone 3G accessories at Accessory Geeks. Buy today and save., but i'm not sure if this will be a permanent solution. ANy recommendations besides replacing the battery, if that's even possible.

Try upgrading to iPhone software 2.1. It claims to improve the battery significantly.
