    CrunchGear has reported that Softbank is in need of sales and they plan on achieving this by offering the 8GB iPhone 3G for free on a 2-year contract, and the 16GB version for just over $100 on the same deal. This nice deal is planned for this Friday and is expected to run until the end of May. To coincide with the free iPhone, data plans are being discounted from just over $60 per month to somewhere in the $45 range.
