screen cracked on iphone

I dropped my iphone and now the screen is cracked is there anyway I can fix this myself without sending it to apple....(they charge $200)

sorry to hear sam. is the iphone kind of slippery to hold? im trying to find cheap iphone
3G. so maybe if i will have one, i will put a rubber case on it. so that it wont be slippery.
