I'm very new to the Iphone, as I have only had it for 2 months now. I'm also new to Itunes and apple it self. My question is, is it really worth jail breaking the Iphone or to leave it as is? I'm in my very early 30's and know a very little bit about jail breaking. My luck would be to try and jail break my phone and it would end up totally bricked. I really like checking out the apps that are available for the Iphone and usually only try the free ones, because I hate to spend money for a paid app that sucks. I also understand that apple makes money off the paid apps as well. In a nutshell all I'm asking is for some honest info on the pros and cons of jail breaking so that I can make an informed decision on jail breaking or not.

I have done it and it is great. I can tether, I can get any app for free that I want, and I can basically customize my iphone more than is ever possible while it is not jailbroken. Its a fairly easy process. Just go to iclarified dot com and they have a step by step tutorial under the tutorial section of how to jailbreak and unlock your phone! good luck!

Wow thank you for the input, that does sound pretty cool that would be pretty cool to be able to customize your phone more. Do you still keep your service with AT&T? Also does this mean that the phone is unlocked per say that you can switch providers?
