Most of you should already be aware of the fact that Apple has announced the new iOS 7 platform. Currently, the operating system is in its beta stages of development, but as you've seen on this forum, there are ways for you to participate in the beta-testing phase, even if you do not have a UDID developer account. (hit the link if you wish to learn now).

But what about downgrading from iOS 7 to iOS 6? Well, here's a guide on how to do it, assuming that you've ran into issues with iOS 7 beta on your Apple smartphone. (Yes, iPhone 4 owners have reportedly dealt with an overall negative experience after downloading iOS 7, such as overheating and sluggish UI).

Downgrading Your iPhone From iOS 7 Beta to iOS 6

    1. Before you start the downgrading process, you need to download the proper iOS 6 files for your iPhone model. If you have an iPhone 5, you will need iOS 6.1.4. For iPhone 4 / 4S, you'll need iOS 6.1.3.
You'll find the necessary download links for iOS 6.1.3 here, and iOS 6.1.4 here.
    2. Plug your iPhone into your computer then cancel the iTunes automatic sync process (assuming that it will start)
    3. It is not required to go into DFU Mode (you can restore it without DFU Mode apparently), but if you wish to do so, then press and hold the home and power buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. After those 10 seconds, release the power button and keep holding the home button for 8 seconds.
    4. Once your smartphone is recognized by iTunes, hold the Shift key on your Windows computer (or Alt/Option on a Mac), then click "Restore iPhone…"
    5. You are now given the choice to select an .ipsw file. Find the iOS 6 file that you have downloaded (point 1) and select it
    6. The downgrading process should now start. You will be given the choice to restore the OS from a previous iOS 6 backup you've made

Note: In case you get "iTunes Error 3194" this generally means that you've selected the wrong iOS 6 file.

This is not a easy task. I don't suggest that. But remember to backup your device.
