I have written about the best apps available on the Windows store and Google Play store and now I will write about the Apple store. Here is a list of 6 great free apps that are available in Apple's app store. Off the top, the coolest thing about being an iPhone user is you never run out of options. There are more than 900,000 apps in the app store and that is quite an impressive number. Let's not waste any more time and get straight to it now:-

(All the below mentioned apps can be downloaded free of cost from the iTunes store.)

1. Showyou (Rating of 4.5 on the iTunes store)

Showyou is definitely one of the best iPhone applications in the market today. Using this application, you can easily locate any videos that are shared by your friends on Facebook, Twitter or by just searching for them. But that is quite standard and there are many apps which offer these features, but what sets Showyou apart is its in-app messaging and community. Whether it is youtube, facebook or twitter, there are quite a few options when it comes to searching for videos. This can be quite the problem sometimes too though as you have to constantly shift between websites to view various videos. You won't have this problem with Showyou. The app extracts video links from various video repositories and social networks including the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Tumblr, Vodpod, Vimeo, etc. The interface is quite intuitive and videos stream effortlessly. It is also compatible with AirPlay.

2. Evernote (Rating of 4.0 on the iTunes store)

This app tends to be a part of most top app lists. Evernote claims that their app is an extension of a person's brain but if you were looking for a more accurate definition of the app you could consider it an app for taking notes and syncing. Using the app, you can create "notes" and store them in a cloud for easy access later from anywhere. The app supports a large number of different notes including audio, images and the standard text. It also comes with some amazing search capabilities. For example, it allows you to search for text in images using OCR. Now that really is amazing!! And if you go through the expense of purchasing the full version, you can even access your notes offline. There is also an option for sharing notes through its built in email app. What more could you want from a note taking app?

3. Zinio (Rating of 4.0 on the iTunes store)

Even though Zinio has been available in the iTunes store ever since 2009 as an app for digital magazines, it has recently shifted its focus to how consumers purchased products that are advertised on touch screen smart phones. They have gone into collaboration with ShopAdvisor and now users can learn everything there is to know about products which they want to purchase without having to shift between websites or pages. There are more than 5,000 publications currently on Zinio and all of these can seamlessly be read across most smart phones. But the main focus of the app still is digital magazines. Users can purchase subscriptions or single issues of digital magazines like High Times, Shutterbug, ESPN, etc. They can also share articles & manage libraries using various devices. And the best part about it is its portability. You don't have to carry around bulky magazines. Isn't that great?

4. Vyclone (Rating of 4.0 on the iTunes store)

When it comes to video editing, Vyclone really is one of the best apps out there. For example, when you take a video using Vyclone, the application looks for others in the area who are taking videos as well and then edits all the clips together and allows you to view the same recording from multiple angles. This is an ideal app when you are recording large events such as concerts, sports games, etc. You might wonder how the audio sounds with all the editing. The truth is that it is quite clear and does not have any cuts either. Recorded videos can be uploaded and shared quite easily and you can even remix the angles if you aren't satisfied with the angles. Overall, it is a great app even though the interface can get a little confusing at times. But with so many options and camera angles, the app couldn't be too simple now could it?

5. Camera Awesome (Rating of 4.5 on the iTunes store)

Camera Awesome is around a year old now and has been increasing in popularity every day since its release. This app has inspired a lot of iPad and iPhone users to click photographs with their devices. This app is supposed to be far superior to the app which comes with the iPhone camera as well as any other app available on the iTunes store. The app also has a one tap share feature which is compatible with all social networks. The sharing features of the app are quite neat. All you have to do is log in to the app and just like that you are just a tap away from uploading photographs to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, etc. There is a feature known as 'Awesomeize' too which automatically adjusts various aspects of a photograph including the color temperature and contrast. Apart from this, you can even manually tweak various aspects of a photograph including sharpness, temperature, contrast, vibrance, etc. You can even crop images with the app and there are a wide range of filters, effects, textures, frames, etc. which can be applied to a photograph. All in all, this is a really great app and it makes you wonder why Apple hasn't learnt anything from this app in the last year.
