I have a quick question and I hope someone can answer?
For Cingular AT/T the guy told me if I got a PDA/Smart Phone I would have to pay an extra 30 dollars because it was a pda/smartphone for data and all that stuff. I asked him if it was possible if I could buy the PDA/ smartphone without having to use all the features that made me have to pay the extra 30 bucks and he said no. [why you ask, I just want a phone with a qwerty keypad]

but anyways, my question is about unlocked phones. If I buy an unlocked phone that is from tmobile or something would I have to use and pay for that extra stuff? will my phone provider even know?
