I want to switch to at&t and bring my number from verizon with me. I know this is ussually not a problem; however I don’t want to cancel my verizon contract.
I want to get a new number for my verizon account, and bring my current number with me to at&t.
I don’t want to loose my number and don’t want to cancel with verizon.

    Thanks for you help,

I don't think this can be done. If you port your current number over to AT&T, Verizon will have to close that account down as far as I know, as the number is now no longer on their network.

You could port it over....close that account and then sign a new contract with them getting a new number.

that would mean I would have to pay the cancellation fee. I really dont want to waste all that money.
