I have a Motorola V551, and even replacing batteries just isn't keeping it alive for very long. I'm looking for suggestions for inexpensive phones that have good battery time, have a camera, and can be connected to my PC via a data cable to retrieve pics and such. If there's a Motorola that will use the cable I have now, great.
I'd like to find one that I can walk in and buy for not a lot of money and not have to extend my contract. And I'm not married to AT&T, either... I stick with them because I had an old $29.99 per month plan that still works, and it seems that most plans start at $39.99 If there is some special deal with probably any carrier to pay less, even for not a whole lot of minutes, that's fine... I just don't use my cell a whole lot.
Thank you!

Don't switch providers till you research a new one. You could purchase a phone from e-bay to buy some time.

Re: I need a new phone
AT&T now "legally" allows you to use a GoPhone on your postpaid account. These phone are typically cheap and some of them are even sold as postpaid devices. This would be the best option if you do not wish to extend your service.
You can also see if your phone is covered within warranty (original condition, no physical damage, or water damage). If you have insurance you can file a claim and get the phone replaced for only $50. If you have a tier 2 device it will cost $125.
-1 for the AT&T plans..However AT&T is coming around with their family packages.
