I have an old Nokia 2G phone that I've used with AT&T pay-as-you-go (I think it is called "gophone"? I forget).

Supposedly AT&T is phasing out 2G support the end of this year and I have to upgrade to a "4G" phone. I confess to being fairly ignorant of what this all means other than my old phone will no longer work with their network when they drop 2G. I have no interest whatsoever in getting a "smartphone" or anything of that nature. I have no interest in any type of monthly plans. All I need is a simple cellphone for making calls and occasional use (I go months without even turning it on) & keeping my current gophone balance going fwd.

What are my cheapest options for a new phone that will work when AT&T drops 2G? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
