audiovox ringtones

what is the file type for ringtones for the audiovox 8910 (extention type?)
and can i use the same ringtones that are for say audiovox 8410?

seems, my bell provider says it's midi and wav depending on the tone style
now it's just msg it to myself it would be my phone# @bell.ca ?? and then how to save it my ringtone files hmmm anyone?

"when you hook your phone up to your computer, i believe my com port is set to com4 and i have the phone model set to lg vx6000 but it also works with vx4400. after that, go to the filesystem tab and there should be a little cross looking deal in the upper left hand corner. click on that and it should load your phone directory tree. after you are in bitpim (assuming that comes up), go down to the "user" tab and click on it. then click on the "sound" tab. then a "ringer" tab should come up. right click on the name and it will come up with a list. click on "new file" and navigate to wherever you have your .mid/.mp3 file stored on your computer. click "open" after you have found it and it should appear in bitpim. after you are all done putting songs on your phone, close bitpim and disconnect your phone from the data cable. on the phone, go to "menu", then "axcess apps". once you are inside of axcess apps, exit out of it and you should get an error message saying "illegal user acxess mode" or something close to that. after that your phone should reboot on its own. all that is doing is creating the file on your phone. then to actually use the ringtones, go to "menu", "settings", "sounds", "ringer type", "ringer" to pick from a list of factory set ringers. when you get to that list, scroll over to the right or left and you should come to a "downloads" list. you should be able to set them as ringers from there."

Anything over 20 seconds is a waste of space. *.mp3 is the extension. I use WavePad to make ringtones.
