Nokia 6280 from 3 mobile - they say it cannot be unlocked - is that
    true?

Am considering buying it from them, and living out a contract, and
when the other providers start 3G, porting.

But is it really impossible to adapt/unlock the phone?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tim.

NO, they are talking ****. What they should be saying is that they
    REFUSE to unlock these phones.

Unfortunately there isn't BB5 unlocking available to the public yet but
I know many people overseas are working on it.

    Hi,

3 lies. you can unlock them. If you live in Perth there is a shop in the
city in piccadilly arcade that unlocks them for $30. Pretty cheap. I use to
have a 3 phone and 3 told me it can not be unlocked but i took it to them
and they unlocked it for me. only takes bout 2 mins.

If this is true, they are the only ones on earth outside nokia and 3 that
    can.
