Just tried to update my Kaspersky anti-virus on the laptop. I tried a network
connection through my mobile phone connected to NextG.
The update file was around 8 megs. However, it took about 20 mins. to get it to
99% where it stalled.
The network connection icon however indicated that it (the laptop) had uploaded
around 2 megs but it downloaded 29 megs.
Not sure what's going on there.
Suffice it to say, the NextG connection was slow and the data transfered was a
lot more than what the Kaspersky update program was indicating.
Will be interesting to see what the next bill has in store for me as I only have
a 5 meg data plan as I rarely use it for data purposes.
