I have been out of touch with the mobile phone industry lol have no
idea really whats available
I just got wirless prepaid broadband USB stick next G from Helstra pay
$80 a month for 3.5g of data on my laptop.
With this telstra offers something like 1c text and soo many minutes
of free voice for recharge/prepay over $30
consider I pay $80 recharge prepay would like to take advantage of
free voice minutes
All the USB stick can do is send SMS from the laptop
gather I need a phone,what phone?
do I just take the SIM from the USB device and add to a phone and link
the phone to the computer
for broadband usage?
is a phone have a better reception factor than the USB stick
IF reception becomes a problem I may need a wirless card PCMIA with
the external antenna attachment
or would a external antenna and a new phone kill all problems
did I just waste my money bying a USB stick rather than a phone on
Next G outright.
just want to take advantage for the free voice time offer with the
prepaid so obviously need
the phone.
don't want to spend much on a phone
why not sell a phone instead of USB stick modem
gather a phone can connect to computer via wirless bluetooth or even
maybe USB cable
whats the go which phone
thanks

I found out the phone I needed, the ZTE F252 or 6 series of hand
sets
seem to be the go and have options for an external antenna via hands
free cradle
think those hand sets would alow me to browse via connection of USB to
laptop
just waether an external antenna will give me reception from my place
is
the question,doubt it
