What are unlocked cell phones?
Visit: What are unlocked cell phones? at wirelessguy.wordpress.com.
No unlocked phones aren't bad. A phone that is purchased with a new plan is usually locked to that carrier, a phone bought independantly without a plan is usually unlocked. There are other things to understand, so please visit the "what are unlocked cell phones" link above for more info.
Are you looking to continue to use your metro PCS account?
Best Regards,
Wes

Re: Questions about Cell Phones.....
I've been working with cell phones for years and have never heard of metro pcs. How do you like thier service? Liberty wireless prepaid phones have a much larger coverage area. Also, you can usually get a free cell phone or better with most post pay plans these days.

Re: Questions about Cell Phones.....
Actually, MetroPCS can't use unlocked cell phones. MetroPCS is a CDMA carrier which means that you need to get a phone directly through MetroPCS. GSM carriers can use unlocked phones, but CDMA carriers can't.
