Shameless posting...c'mon., come clean y'all-we've all done it

I think serendipity has put me in the right place at the right time to scoop up Chillin's spamming hehe (we're buddies, I'm just teasin' him).

We've all done it. Bored, or especially anxious to share our knowledge (or rhetoric ) with our fellow forum junkies. Little do we realize that 15minutes into the sit-down session, and we've spammed over 20 threads hehe.

Well...I call on you to confess your sins.




So that's 12.

I think my highest has been something like 5 or 7.

At any point, if you find a post deemed as spamming or junk posting, just click the report a bad post linke, and us mods will clean er up.

I didn't mean spam in a negative way. I meant it (and I elaborated, so as NOT to leave any doubts).

'easy' with the report post...who's a tattle tale here anyway. Aren't we all old enough to act respectfully.

LOL, you and I might be adults, but we have members of all ages, as young as 13, and while some people act their age, others might lead us to believe they lied to get registered (where are the parents?). Mr. bubble.tea, are YOU really as old as you say you are? I have reason to believe you might be a 12yr old posing as an adult, j/k.

Oh, back to topic? I might find a string of threads needing answers when I'm modding the forums and seem to answer several in a short period of time, but I don't think I ever post just to post. In fact, I generally avoid the Chit Chat stuff altogether. It's too easy to get sucked into these conversations and that diverts me from what I really want to do, which is help people solve problems and keep the boards free of spam and trash.

I think that my record is 8 or 9 straight posts in the Verizon section at one time. I was a little embarassed, but I am glad to see that someone else is even worse than me!

At least you had the consideration to feel 'embarrassed' because I've had people get all mad and defensive when I asked them to stop flooding a forum with hasty replies. It's especially annoying for those of us that go to Today's Posts when the first page and a half are all "thanks for the ringtone" and "yeah i agree with what he said", c'mon people, did some of you learn your social skills from Koko the signing gorilla? J/K

You all know what I mean, the regulars do anyhow, it's helpful to everyone else on the forums as a whole if people would refrain from non-contributory posts, especially off-topic posts, thread hijacking, trash posts, etc. as much as possible. Stick to the topic and try to make each post at least 10 or 20 syllables? "ten syllables are not that much to type".

do you notice the date on those posts?

There were 15 days ago, and still there has only been 1 post since then. I can't help it that the Canadian provider forums are Completely Dead.

Every single one of those posts was informative or helpfull, the problem isn't my measly 12 posts, it is the fact that no one else ever posts there so it looks like I posted a lot, when in fact 12 posts is nothing. I can easily do 30 or 40 Helpful posts in a row (and I do on other forums), if there was actually anyone else posting there.

So the question isn't my "shameless posting" it is why isn't anyone else helping those people out when they ask questions?

We need more Canadian members who know what they're talking about when it comes to cell phones and the Canadian providers. I wish I could help more in those forums, but I've never been out of the Southern US, how am I supposed to know anything about Canada? No offense, Canadians! I love you guys but I just learned where Vancouver is yesterday (near Washington state), and that's because I was watching the Discovery channel. I guess Americans are ignorant to what goes on in Canada (y'all have cell phones?). j/k

EDIT: And Abom, I just learned where Whitehorse is, just now, because I googled a map of Canada to make sure I wasn't stupidly naming the wrong city that's near Washington.
