Most reliable Cingular phones?

I'm considering replacing my Motorola V551 phone with something else because it's beginning to get more difficult to hear someone talking. My wife's V551 sound started going out too, so she bought a Nokia 6103 and has been happy with it. I'm looking for a phone with features similiar to the V551 but has better reception (my wife's 6103 has better reception) and is reliable! Both of our first V551's were replaced under warranty and her second one was acting up again then she decided to wash it when doing laundry-she said it was an accident...lol

What are my options and should I look at a phone off Ebay? We're not switching providers, so a contract doesn't scare me to bad. I just don't care for their "upgrade" or "transfer" fee that my wife incurred when purchasing the 6103 from Cingular.

I bought a RAZR V3xx today, so hopefully this will be a reliable phone. It has better reception than the V551 so I'm *very* happy about that.

I always use a Nokia phone. Never had any luck at all with MotorolaSucks phones.
Nokia phones take a beating and always work.
Now using a Nokia 6102i and it works great.

I've got a motorola V3i, works great, excellent reception. when I first got with cingular, I had a Nokia, and it did well also, so both have been good phones, imo. just depends on which you prefer i think.

So far the v3xx has been very reliable and has continued to have great reception.

the V3xx is ok but go with the W810 if you have the money or just get the blackberry pearl expensive but its the best phone so far. not just the pda portion of it. i dont really use the internet just for email but the phone part is amazing. A++
