Currently I have a Motorola i730. It has a boost mobile prepaid plan.
My friend gave me a Samsung SGH-D407. I put the Boost SIM card in this phone. I did the steps to unlock it and it does not work.

When I go to the settings and view my phone information, it says this:

Number: (My number from my Boost plan)
Model: SGH-D407

When I try to make a call or send a text, it says "Emergency Calls Only". And I do not have any contacts from my old phone.

I've been looking up stuff on this online for the past 2 hours. Nothing worked.

I went into the Network Selection in settings and switched from automatic to manual, and it gave me two networks to chose from. Cingular and T-Mobile. I tried both of these. neither worked. I put it back on automatic, nothing worked. I turned off my phone, removed everything and put it back in. Nothing works! Please help. I just want to be able to make calls and send messages with this new phone. Is that even possible to do so?
