    The Ipod is so "great" because of marketing!!! Some of the stuff RCA and other companies are coming out with are much better then the Ipod, IMO. But yeah...if I was going to spend $300-400 on a MP3 player, I'd just go get a pocketPC and a large memory card.

    The iPod Shuffle!! There's a 256MB one ($99) and then a 1GB one (for slightly more dough). I just bought one about 2 weeks ago from Apple direct. I should be getting it any day now.

    WHO needs that much music on their portable MP3 player when you can update the music on a regular basis?! Well, maybe some... but not I!! It's perfect (I think ) I can't wait to get it!!

    i rather like that Dell Jukebox just as big with a nice price cut over the apple i have had mine for a while 20 gigs is a bit hard to fill but still its a nice unit and price is better.

    well i hate apple ... cause i had a software problem wid my iPod ... and vergin megastore[i bought my iPod from there] gave it to the apple main branch to get it replaced but they didn't cause the ink on the reciept was almost vanished so they didn't replace it and i have the iPod kept as piece for nothin

    Well, I have a Ipod and do like it a lot.

    I also recently purchased a PSP and if your looking for an alternative mp3 player, you might want to look into it. This little black box does everything but bring your beer to you (which is why a I bought a small dorm fridge to sit beside my chair). Games, mp3, movies, wifi, 333 mhz processor, USB 2.0, memory stick capable, etc, etc. All this for about the same price as a Ipod.
    You are CRUNCHY, and taste good with Ketchup!!

    honestly Ipod is not really good as a portable music player, and it's kinda big...
    i still prefer other smaller and unique style mp3 players even with smaller sizes

    My iPod is VERY small.... I have a shuffle. Hardly a big MP3 player (one of the smallest).
