My lappy's power cord just will NOT stay in place... Either the chrger or the port has to have a tiny spring which is sprung... is it on the power cord or the port?? (HP DV1000)
I hope I don't have to send this puppy away... I'll feel like I have no legs!

Has it been damaged/stripped? if you can, find another person with an HP lappy charger and try (pref. the same modle you have) to put it in... Hasn't happened with any of my laptops before, although I have heard of it happening due to rough removal/pulling on the cord.
When the battery died on my old inspiron 1100, i couldn't walk with it, lol, so I feel your pain ('specially when you're legs fall asleep!
