Re: Virus Recovery
If you would like to use a free antivirus then i have to suggest you avast is best but for this case you must have a internet connection and if you want to use paid antivirus then you can use karpersky or norton.

Re: Virus Recovery
The best protection is to stay away from suspicious websites. I personally don't use antivirus program for a few years, but rather think twice before clicking a link.

Re: Virus Recovery
Good advice, but keep this in mind: if you have an Internet connection, then the bad guys will find you even if you don't find them. In other words,"safe surfing" alone will not necessarily prevent you from getting viruses. You would still be wise to install something on your PC; I have been using the free version of Avast, and have not had any problems. Avast even stops occasional attempted virus attack. I'd hate to think what might have happened if I had no protection!

Re: Virus Recovery
To me, it's the Emsisoft AntiMalware. I've been using it for years. It's very good at detecting Trojans.

Re: Virus Recovery
I had an unpleasant situation when my files were encrypted by a virus that I picked up on an infected site. I used EFS Recovery to restore access to data. After this incident, I installed a reliable antivirus.
