XP with most of the seemingly endless updates and fixes.
Beats 95, 98 and NT4 hands down, apart from that activation malarky.

I use WinXP Pro w/ SP1 but I have other comps with Pro on them but no SP1. Not too much of a difference if you ask me (though I know there are some security holes that are probably lurking on the non SP1)

ME is the sorriest OS Microsoft has released to this date. Get rid of it and upgrade to XP or "downgrade" to Win98 SE 4.10.2222.

Windows 98 SE is stable and works well. Not bloated like XP which does all the thinking for you whereas I like a little bit of control to do what I want, not what it thinks I should do!
