65-70 million iPad 3 panels have been ordered by Apple

Apparently Apple has big plans for the upcoming iPad 3 because they have already begun to order 65-70 million iPad 3 panels from Samsung and LG Display. Due to the sales of the original iPad and iPad 2, Apple believes that the Apple iPad 3 will be just as successful and plans to ship the same amount of tablets this year as the number of panels ordered.

Some of the features that is said to come with the iPad 3 will include: a 10 inch display (2048 x 1536), quad-core processor and iOS 5.1. Apple has been very successful with their tablets and if Apple does manage to sell the 70 million that they think they will, that will almost double the amount of iPads sold by Apple.
