Upcoming Update To Bring New Camera Features to Nokia Lumia Smartphones – Check Out The Details

Just yesterday the Nokia Lumia 925 has been officially announced by the Finnish manufacturer. The handset is quite impressive and boasts a lot of interesting features. We've already covered the story, so if you want to learn more about the 925 itself (formerly known as the Nokia Catwalk) then feel free to read the previously posted article.

In any case, one of the Lumia 925's highlights is the fact that the handset in question arrives not only with a great camera at the back, but also a brand new camera software that includes a slew of new features. They include things like Best Face, Motion Blur, Action Shot, Best Shot and many more. Most of these camera features have been showcased in a handful of official videos posted by Nokia, so if you wish to check them out then I've embedded them below.

But getting back to the matter at hand, the good news is that this new camera app which introduces all of these interesting new features will not be exclusive to the Lumia 925. In fact, the manufacturer intends on launching a new software update on all Windows Phone 8 Lumia smartphones. This update is currently known under the name of "Amber" and is expected to bring the aforementioned new camera features to your Lumia device, assuming that it's part of the WP 8 generation. Amber will also enable the FM Radio on all WP8-powered Lumia smartphones.

There may be other goodies that could be included in the Amber update and we're bound to find out more regarding the matter, before the firmware hits the waves. The Amber update is expected to go live in July.
