Samsung has recently held the "Samsung Premiere 2013" conference in London, where the Korean manufacturer has unveiled a handful of new smartphones, tablets and other gadgets, from both the Android and Microsoft Windows world. Among the gadgets unveiled and showcased at the event reside the
Galaxy S4 mini, S4 Zoom, the Galaxy S4 Active, a handful of tablets and a new Android-powered mirrorless camera dubbed the Galaxy NX.
However, for
Samsung Galaxy S4 enthusiasts, the Premiere 2013 event has also been an opportunity to find out that the Korean giant is planning on launching the handset in question in five new colors. As seen in the image above, these new flavors are Blue Arctic, Purple
Mirage, Red Aurora, Brown Autumn and Pink Twilight.
Unfortunately, there's no word on when exactly these five new flavors will hit the market, but in theory it shouldn't take too long. It's also the question of whether or not all of these new color options will be offered by all the carriers in the US, but that's something that we'll probably find out sooner rather than later. As yet, AT&T seems to be the only one to pick-up a newly flavored SGS4, and that's the Red Aurora model. It's also likely that the Red Aurora flavor will be AT&T exclusive. Not really surprising considering the fact that the last year, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has also been made available on US shores in red, once again, exclusively through AT&T.
It appears that the mobile market might shift towards offering customers more customization options. The fabled Motorola X phone is also speculated to be made available in a lot of colors (20+ or so, according to earlier reports), and there are many other smartphones out there (or in the making) that seem to emphasize on this particular aspect, such as the Jolla, which will arrive with interchangeable back panels that will make use of NFC (possibly) in order to make your smartphone's user interface automatically match the color of the exterior.
Has anyone not purchased a Samsung Galaxy S4 this year? Would you be interested in buying an S4 in one of these five new colors?
