The Samsung Galaxy S4 needs little introduction at this point. In a nutshell, the gadget in question is Samsung's latest flagship phone and it's without shadow of a doubt one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year.

As reported before, the South Korean manufacturer intends on launching this particular device across 155 territories and through 327 mobile operators. Basically, the SGS4 will be almost everywhere! As for the handset's availability in the US, the majority of carriers have already announced that they'll get to retail the S4 in the near future, but no mobile operator has been able to give an exact release date or price so far.

Except for T-Mobile, as the carrier in question has now picked up the slack and has become the first US carrier to announce the exact launch date of the device.

As such, come May 1st and you'll be able to pick up your very own Galaxy S4 from Magenta's stores, at the price of $99 as a "down payment". Interestingly enough, T-Mobile hasn't really offered any other handsets on a down payment plan, and they've usually stuck with their "on-contract" plans, but with the SGS4 the carrier seems to switch gears and employ the new "Simple Choice" plans. Assuming that you're not familiar with "down payment", basically you'll pay $99 up-front and then you'll continue to pay the rest of the phone's price over a certain number of months.

As to what you can expect from the Galaxy S4 itself, well, as mentioned above, I believe that this gadget needs no introduction, but if you're still not familiar with the device then we recommend you read the full overview where we've talked about this gadget in great detail.

In a nutshell though, you can expect a 5 inch 1080p Super AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 3, a Snapdragon 600 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.9 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of storage expandable by up to 64 GB via microSD, a 13 MP camera on the back as well as a 2 MP front-facing sensor, a 2,600 mAh battery to keep everything up and running, and the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with Samsung's newest TouchWiz Nature user interface on top.

Is anyone interested in purchasing the SGS4 from T-Mobile? Mark your calendars if so!
