Unlocked sidekick 2's off ebay...

i'm thinking of buying an unlocked sidekick 2 off of ebay, so i could use it with verizon wireless... i want to get prepaid service 2. my question is, since the sidekick won't be used with tmobile, will there be any features missing? Also, will i even be able to have prepaid sidekick service on different providers other than tmobile? if not, what kind of sidekick 2 should i get off of ebay? i already have a prepaid account with tmobile, and i even have my sim card, so do i just need to get a regular sidekick 2, and just insert my sim card into there? I'M VERY CONFUSED, SO PLEASE HELP ME!!!

hey, you CAN NOT use a GSM (t-mobile) phone for a CMDA network (VZW). SO! before you buy, you cant do that!

thanx, but there's still some stuff i don't know. i now know to get a regular sidekick (not unlocked), but what about service, etc?

You can use an Unlocked Sidekick on the Cingular Network, not Verizon. T-Mobile does offer pre-paid plans with the Sidekick so if you bring in your own they can activate it for you. I would check the price with T-Mobile before buying one from EBay though

Thanx Thephantom, but the problem is, i don't have a sidekick yet. Basically, what i need to know now is do i need to buy a sidekick 2 without a sim card? can i just put it in the sidekick (my old sim card that is, that already has a prepaid account on it) and it'll have all my info (phone #, etc)? Do i need to call Tmobile and switch my prepay plan to a sidekick prepay plan? because they are different. Do i need to buy a whole new sim card? AHHHH!!!

if your sim card is still working then i guess you could use it for calls unless otherwise you need to call tmobile and tell them you want the sidekick prepaid and they should activate it for you through your sim card probly
