Hi,
Can anyone help me with .jad games? What are they, are they JAVA? This seems to be the game format that my Sharp TM100 likes. Does anyone know where you can get FREE .jad games from or does anyone have any that they wouldn't mind sharing with a gameless Sharo user?!?!!!!
Thanks

If you need *.jad files your tel is broken, If yo need jar or jar and jad files you can download all s40 games. a jad file is a text file only, a jar file is a small java zipfile (winrar can open it) with the game. put the jar and jad together on your phone and you got sommm games!!

How do you mean?
I think I need this type of file because when I was on the MIDLET.ORG site it would only allow the .jad file not the .jar file to be downloaded to the phone?
I'm stuck!!

Nope!!! The TM100 just won't take .jar games for some reason? The handset manager won't let you upload .jar files either even though it says the phone is JAVA ENABLED!!! What do I need to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.jar and .jad files are basicly the same, they're like .mp3 and .wma both audio files but just different formats.
Get a .jar to .jad converter to convert your .jar files to .jad

I use this myself and have uploaded to my webspace.

jad
Mark has right. JAD files are info files, contain the name, size and the maker of the JAVA application. Some phone need the JAD to download the JAVA game(.jar). My T610 need only the .jar. But you cannot upload JAVA games with the Handset Manager to the TM100. The program dont let it. I think it's a protection of copyright. i've tried to upload java game to a memorycard of a Motorola E398, but it didn't work.

You can upload your JAR files, try them in emulator and download them straight to your mobile via WAP/GPRS. It generates JAD:s from JAR:s on the fly

Weird, I just upload the Wacky Race on it and when I tried to download, it said Unable to access, not just Wacky Race, I can't access every game on mobilebox, but the pictures don't have this question, that's pretty weird...
Anyone can tell me more wap site for TM100's java game download? they r hard to find...
