Green used to be my fav colur and my first phone was a lil green motorola - it was in the days of the brick phones and I felt pretty special with my lil green phone while all my friends had huge black bricks!
I loved it!! It makes me laugh thinking back because I sold it to some wierd guy and the charger wasn't working properly - so the guy pluged in the power pack and put the plug in his mouth to see if there was a current!!! And he decided to buy it and repair the desk top charger himself.... I still remember him sticking the chord in his mouth

    Weird guy? erm... Uncle Fester!!!!!

Yeah I had one of the huge bricks... hard to say what my first mobile phone was though as I had some I acquired from the 40's (collectible items I toyed about with... )... my first one was one of the old ones with the carrying handle about the size of a small briefcase... then I had the big brick with the big antenna... not so long ago it seems... I had this huge Erickson satellite phone... and I still have my first car cellphone which was similarly styled... came in a big duffle-like carrying case and plugged into the lighter thingy...

    TracFone

My first cell phone was a Christmas gift. I got a Nokia 2123 TracFone, prepaid service. The phone was absolutely wonderful...unless you wanted to place a call, receive a call, or text message. If I was at work I would lose the signal as soon as I walked in the door and I'd have to go almost outside in order to make a call. Even the slightest bit of clouds would block the signal and put the phone into a roaming status, and even if you were in your own house, your price per call would double. And roaming was a whole 'nother thing; when you were roaming, oftentimes you were transferred to another carrier who wouldn't even let you on their network. Oh, how efficient.I'm glad those days are behind me.

Here's a tip for anyone ever thinking of going with TracFone:

Place your head in a doorway and close the door on your skull about 400 times until you come to your senses.

yeh, phones nowadays are sooo delicate and break pretty easily. phones in the past were made solid and hardly broke... shows that these fones now are made cheaply...

The best provider gives you a plan with the minutes you need at the right price. The coverage that you need to make calls all the time.

my first phone was a motorola v2397. It was awesome cuz i got it like two years before anyone else. Back in 2001 when i was in 6th grade and the cell phonr craze hadn't quite hit. then about a year and a half later i felt like an outcast with my crappy, no text capable, cololess phone, whos only coll feature was a removable navy blue faceplate.
