I have had various cell phones over the years. But I don't really fully understand the whole tech. My main question is why can you put three tri mode phones next to each other and have each have a different level of strength? My phone can have 3 out of 5, hubbies will have 6 out of 6 and son's may have 4 or 5 out of 6. Why is this? shouldn't all analog phones receive (roughly) the same signal? I understand sometimes the network is busier, weather can effect the signal I get...but shouldn't we ALL be affected? I can also understand a digital and tri mode phone having different readings, but 3 tri mode phones? Now perhaps the brand of phone makes a difference. But again, I ask you WHY??? My last phone (3200) pretty much had 5 to 6 out of 6 bars most of the time. My next couple, a 6100 that I actually returned because I was getting 2-4 out of 6 for the most part, and a v276 that will have 3 or 4 out of 5 for the most part. Yet the 3200 continues to show 5 or 6 out of 6.
Also another perplexing item. Why will my phone on one day show 5 out of 5 and the next day at the same time, same exact place, show 3 or 4 out of 5? I suppose that could be a reflection of the network?
It's all a mystery to me.........thanks in advance for your help. I know someone will be able to make it clear for me.
