Anyone use an instant cell phone charger... just wondering if they're god or bad. I figured for 20 buck or so they may be worth it in a pinch.

Re: Instant Cell Phone Chargers...how Do They Rank
We sell them at a store that I work at. There a few differences. Some allow you to crank the charge, like with a crank flashlight, or radio. The other styles convert the power of a double A battery into your phone. They usually come with 7 or 8 charger heads, so you want to make sure your phone charger "end" is found in the selection. Newer phones, pdas, etc... require a selection of 10-12 possible ends, so make sure before you buy one- that you actually see an "end" that will work for your phone. Basically, you select the cord ("end") that resembles your regular charger, plug it into your phone, attatch it to the battery cylinder (holds 1 AA), connect it to your phone, and it will immidiately start charging. You get about 2 hours of phone use per AA battery. I have used one of these, and the only thing I found frustrating is that it takes the 2 hours to get 2 hours on your phone. Though you can use it white the battery is connected. They are great if you are traveling and don't have the right adapter, or your charger is not dual voltage (rare).

I would keep one around just in case, at a cost of 15-20 bucks it may be worth having one around, so that's why i wanted to know if anyone used one or new about their performance. Thanks
