I found a phone number on my daughter's cell phone. It is not in our area code and I can't figure out what it is. It doesn't show up on our phone bill. I searched for it and it says it's invalid. I have read there are numbers you can dial before the number you are calling to hide your number then put a space which I can't figure how to put the space in either and I googled the number and it says it's invalid. Does any one know what this is?
Here's the number: 366-666-88XX.
Thanks

Re: Number to hide your number
Well, *67 is the number to block your number.
Seems like you're being a little paranoid. Why don't you just ask her?
Edited the full number out as to prevent random people from calling it.

Wait, I just reread you post. If you know what *67 is then why did you ask? If the phone isn't on the bill then... ? ? I guess I don't know the whole story, but you're not making sense... I hope you daughter is 12 and not 20.

Re: Number to hide your number
I know what number you are talking about, and you are right, it is different from *67- which just hides your number.
There are some services you can purchase from your carrier that would make your number an invalid one, like this one did. You can purchase the feature on a monthly basis and then use it when you want using a code. The number that shows up should be traceable though, back to the company. It will just give you some service code.
I had to use this when I was dealing with an ex and got a new number but for legal reasons had to contact him.
