So here's my dilemma. I'm on Verizon but I want to purchase the new iphone, which isn't available for a couple of weeks. I have a few people who what to buy my Droid Incredible on Verizon. I want to keep my Verizon phone number and port it over to ATT when I buy the Iphone for a couple of weeks.

Is there a safe way to sell my Droid on Verizon and keep my existing phone number until I move over to ATT for in a couple of weeks? I'm willing to go without a phone until then.
