I am told that I can get a cell phone that uses a SIM card, my Droid X does not, and by putting the sim card from my cell phone into the sim slot on my FAU-200 Satellite phone (or the Globalstar SIM to the Cell phone) I can then use it to talk by way of the nearest cell tower on my cell account, but if there is no cell tower within range it will automatically switch to the Globalstar satellite constellation and complete the call by satelite.

I already have an account with Globalstar and one with Verizon.

Any one have any experience with this.

I don't think that would work. I don't think satellite phones are compatible with cellular networks. I checked the model you mention and I don't see anything about it working with the cellular networks. What source are you referring to that told you this is possible?
