I've never had an iPhone before, but a few of my friends swear up and down that they're the best phones out there. What's your opinion? Is iPhone better than Android, is Android better than iPhone, or are they both about the same?

Re: iPhone vs Android
I think they're about the same, honestly. Some Android phones out there probably aren't as good as the iPhones, and some may have a few more features, but I think for the most part, they can both do about the same thing. Camera, video recording, internet access, etc., are all right in line with each other for the most part.

Sammie_Jo - Thanks for the response. I'm starting to agree with you as I learn more about iPhones.

Re: iPhone vs Android
I like how there is more of a selection with Android phones, and they're available at all different prices. If you're looking for a phone with a small screen, there is one. If you're looking for a large screen, there is one. If you want a keyboard, excellent camera, HDMI, etc, you can find them available on different models.
If you're going to go with Android, and want it to be comparable to the iPhone, I would recommend getting one of the top of the line Android devices, such as the Nexus 4 or Samsung Galaxy S III. With the Nexus 4, it is made the way Google wanted it made. It's pure Google. So, if you're looking for the direct opposite of the iPhone, it is probably the Nexus 4.

Re: iPhone vs Android
I'm in the opposite position. I had an iPhone and LOVED IT! Now I have an android phone that I am still getting use to. They are very similar. The android has taken me a little longer to get the swing of things. So I imagine that if you are going FROM android TO iPhone, you will not have ANY problem. Give it a few more months and get the iPhone 5. I hear the new version is awesome, and I am sure they will start offering it refurbished or cheaper than new after Christmas.

Re: iPhone vs Android
I have an ipod, which I got first, before the iphone came out. I don't have any other apple products. I'm a PC girl. My ZTE Origin is the only android device that I have.

Re: iPhone vs Android
Both of them have their own properties. Like iPhone have Apple and Android phone have Android. Both are amazing.

Re: iPhone vs Android
The regular iPod never seemed to be all that popular. I have one myself, which I bought because I wanted a no-frills MP3 player with a ton of storage space. With a 160 GB hard drive, I feel like I got my money's worth. If I had spent the same $250 on an iPod touch, I would have only gotten about 32 GB of storage space, and my iPod would have been halfway full the day I brought it home!

Re: iPhone vs Android
This round of purchases was definitely going to go to the iPhone until I really started reviewing the Galaxy S3. The S3 totally blew the iPhone out of the water!
