Hi guys,
I have a wird question.
I have bought Nokia N95 from ebay as second hand phone.
I turned on my phone and checked everything, looked fine.
After 30 minutes I put in my Orange SIM card, after this my phone got network connection (mobile range) and .... I got SMS!
... But this SMS was not for me! Received SMS has been sent to previous owner who had T-mobile Sim Card!
Moreover, this 'not my' SMS was quite long (consist 7 times SMS per 160 signs).
I was wondering about this case. If this SMS has been stucked in phone memory, I should got it after reboot without SIM card (my new one) - am I right? but I got him until I put my orange SIM.
Do you know what happened? Could you please explain me technical site? Thx in advance!
I have Nokia N95.
After first turn on - Inbox was completely empty.

Re: Technical question about my SIM card and received SMS sent to someone else!
It sounds like it was an MMS message (since it was long) that was already in memory and perhaps never read by the original owner. When the phone was turned back on it came up as new.

Re: Technical question about my SIM card and received SMS sent to someone else!
Actually no, It was rather SMS but very long.
Moreover I reboot my new phone first without SIM card insert - inbox was empty, this massage came up as a new when I have inserted my SIM card.
However, if it was MMS as you said - does it use my SIM card and put log in my billing ?Last edited by fuxd; 01-30-2013 at 10:13 AM.
