I'm looking at getting a new phone. I'd like to get one unlocked, touchscreen, bluetooth, etc.
What phones do you recommend and why?

    Hi Glen Livet,

What is your budget? Do you want a low, mid, or high-end smartphone?

Sorry guys. I don't wanna spend a lot. I'm thinking somewhere around 200ish i'd consider going to 300 IF it is really worth it to do so.

There are probably more options out there, but doing a quick search I found these smartphones, at which you can take a closer look and see if they are what you are looking for. (click the links)

    At Expansys USA:

    - Samsung Galaxy S Duos - $249.99 down from $399 Samsung Galaxy S Duos Dual SIM Android Smartphone White (Unlocked, 850/1900 3G) #S7562L - Expansys USA

    - Samsung Galaxy Fame - $214.99 Samsung GALAXY Fame (White) #GT-S6810PWNBTU - Expansys USA

    At Sony Store USA

    - Xperia Miro - $179 down from $229 Sony Android Smartphone | Xperia miro | XMST23BLKPK Review | Sony Store
    - Xperia P - $279 down from $349 Sony Android Smartphone | Xperia P | XPLT22RD Review | Sony Store

Like I said, there are other options out there, but these are some of the options that I'd personally check out, at least at first. The reasons being that they're all decently looking smartphones for their price, they are built by well-known mobile manufacturers, and some of them come with Jelly Bean out of the box or can be upgraded to Jelly Bean.

There are many in the market and you can get one with good features and Samsung Galaxy series is a better option.

If you have mentioned about quality or robust apps, usage, etc., I would have mentioned something else like. But as you stress more on budget, the best to go with as others said is, Samsung. I'm a proud owner of Samsung Galaxy. Just my 2 cents.

    Guys,
How is the Samsung GT Google Nexus S? How's the Samsung Galaxy Y? How's the HTC Inspire 4G? How's HTC HD 7S? How's the LG Optimus L7 P705?
All are in my budget. Which do y'all think is the better phone in this price range?

The HTC HD 7S is a Windows Phone smartphone, not an Android one. Are you still looking for Android-only as the title suggests? Or are you OK with the Windows Phone line-up as well?

I'm ok with windows IF it is a good deal and does what i need/want it to. Ideally i'd like to have an android though.
Of the android phones I listed which do you feel is a good one to look into/get?

Personally, I'd go with either the Nexus or the LG Optimus L7.
Comparing with these two, the Galaxy Y is really underpowered and it runs on Gingerbread, so that's probably the least of my choices. Yes, it's a Samsung, but that's not everything.

The HTC Inspire 4G would be nice as well, but unfortunately, again, support has stopped at Android 2.3 Gingerbread. However, I'd pick the Inspire 4G insdead of the Galaxy Y because of the difference in hardware. The Y has 3 inch screen with a resolution of 240 x 320, whereas the HTC has a 4.3 inch display with a decent 480 x 800. Not to mention the CPU, RAM and pretty much every other aspect where the Inspire 4G is simply better equipped.

I found a LG L7 in the 160 price range. It says it is unlocked international. Will that work in the US with net10 service on AT&T or T-Mobile towers? Will the "i forget" 2g or 3g work without issues?

The unlocked international one I am seeing doesn't mention HSPA, which is what both AT&T and T-Mobile use.

Personally, I would choose the Nexus 4. It should always have the latest version of Android as long as the phone can handle it hardware wise. It does support HSPA+ 42.

I don't think it supports LTE, which is the direction the carriers are going. But, if I remember correctly, HSPA covers most of the coverage area.
