If you think transferring contacts from an iPhone to an Android-powered device is difficult, then you're not using the right methods and tools. There are several ways to transfer iPhone contacts, and below you will find four of the most easy and convenient methods of transferring your contacts over to the Acer Liquid S2. Pick whichever method you prefer the most.

Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone:

Aside from being one of the most popular music players, iTunes also allows you to sync your iPhone contacts with a different phone. Evidently, to use this method, you need access to a computer with iTunes installed.

  1. Launch iTunes on your computer (if necessary, visit the official Apple website and download the iTunes client)
  2. Use the proprietary USB cable to connect your iPhone to your computer
  3. Once the device is connected, it will appear in iTunes. Click on it to reveal the smartphone's summary page
  4. Click the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  6. Enter your Google's account login credentials if you haven't done so before. Alternatively, you can click "Configure" and then select a previously set Google account
  7. Click "Apply". This will commence iTunes to sync your iPhone contacts with the Google account
  8. On your Acer smartphone, allow the Google account to sync the contacts with your device. (If you need to add the account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts)

Using iCloud to Transfer iPhone Contacts:

iCloud is a backup service offered by Apple, and if you've used it on your iPhone before, then chances are that your iPhone contacts are already backed up onto your iCloud account. You can share these contacts with your Acer Liquid S2 by doing the following:

  1. Use your computer's Internet browser to visit www.icloud.com
  2. Login with your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" and view the list of contacts
  4. Select the contacts that you wish to transfer
  5. Next, click the icon depicted as a cog wheel (located in the bottom-left)
  6. Select "Export vCard". This will result in a VCF file that will be downloaded on your PC
  7. Once downloaded, import the VCF file to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, you can skip this step and follow the next one instead:
  8. Connect your Liquid S2 to your computer via USB and copy the VCF file on your handset's "sdcard" directory. Then, open the "People" application, press the "Menu" button and choose to import contacts. Follow any additional self-explanatory steps in order to import the VCF file

Using the "Bump" Application to Transfer iPhone Contacts:

"Bump" is a fun application that allows you to transfer your contacts from one phone to another using cloud connectivity. Although you will be required to "bump" your smartphones together, Bluetooth or NFC connectivity is not required. All you need is an active Internet connection on both smartphones.

  1. On your iPhone, visit the App Store and download "Bump"
  2. On your Acer Liquid S2, visit the Play Store and install the same application
  3. Launch Bump on both smartphones, and when prompted, allow permissions
  4. Using the iPhone, swipe until you see the contacts section
  5. Select the contacts that you want to share with your Android device
  6. When the "Bump Now!" message appears in the top-right corner, you can gently bump the two devices together
  7. If done right, a "Connect" button will appear on both devices. Tap it
  8. Your iPhone contacts will now be transferred over to the Acer Liquid S2

Using the "My Contacts Backup" to Transfer iPhone Contacts:

My Contacts Backup is an iOS application designed to transfer contacts from an iPhone to an Android device via email.

  1. Install the My Contacts Backup app on your iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap "Backup". This will create a VCF file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap "Email" to attach the VCF file to an email
  4. Use your own Gmail address as the recipient for the email, and send it
  5. On your Acer device, open the email containing the VCF attachment, and download it in order to import the contacts
