Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:

This is one of the more common methods of contact transfer, as it involves iTunes and the software's sync features. Using approach, you can sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account. Synced contacts include the contact's image, name, email and any additional information.

  1. Launch iTunes on your computer. (NOTE: if you need iTunes, visit the official Apple website and download the client)
  2. Connect your iPhone to your computer using the proprietary USB cable
  3. In iTunes, click on your iPhone to view its summary page, and go to the "Info" tab
  4. Mark the check box next to "Sync Contacts With"
  5. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  6. If you haven't done this before, enter your Google account's log in details. Otherwise, you can click "Configure" and then choose a Google account that you've added before
  7. Click "Apply" to begin the syncing process
  8. On your Hydro Plus, register the same Google account and allow it to sync contacts with your device. NOTE: to add an account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

The iCloud back up service can become handy when trying to transfer contacts from an iPhone. Assuming that you've used iCloud before, your contacts are most likely already backed up. You can export then in the form of a vCard file. For this method you need access to a computer with Internet connection.

  1. Open your PC's Internet browser and visit https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Log in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to "Contacts"
  4. From the list, select the contacts that you want to export
  5. When ready, click the "Settings" icon located in the bottom-left area
  6. Click "Export vCard" and your computer will now download a VCF file
  7. From here, you can perform one of the following sets of steps:
    • Import the VCF file to Google Contacts
    • Connect your Kyocera device to your PC via USB. Copy the VCF file to the device's "sdcard" directory, and import the contacts through the people app. (Open it, tap "Import / Export" > "Import from SD" > pick an account if necessary and the desired vCard file).

Transferring Contacts with the "My Contacts Backup" App:

If access to a computer is something that you don't have, you can still transfer your contacts using various applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can compile your iPhone contacts in a VCF file, and send it to your Android device via email.

  1. From the App Store, install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Open the application and tap "Backup". This will create a VCF file
  3. Tap "Email" to open a new email and attach the VCF file to it
  4. In the recipient field, enter your own Gmail address
  5. Send the email, and open it on your Hydro Plus
  6. Download the VCF file and import the contacts through the contacts application on your device (Import / Export etc.)

Using the "Bump" Application:

Last but not least, "Bump" is an iOS and Android app that is capable of transferring contacts through cloud. For this approach you need an active Internet connection on both smartphones.

  1. Visit the Play Store and download "Bump" on your Kyocera smartphone
  2. Install the app on your iPhone, via the App Store
  3. Launch the application on both smartphones. If prompted, accept all permissions

  6. When the "Bump now!" label appears, lightly bump your two smartphones simultaneously
  7. If done right, a "Connect" button will pop-up on both devices
  8. Tap "Connect" and the transfer via cloud will commence
